Bluebird ski days provide the perfect excuse to sit on a restaurant terrace for hours, soaking in the sun, whilst appreciating excellent cuisine. A great example of this is Cave Des Creux, which sits at an altitude of 2,112m, and benefits from a large terrace and panoramic views across the Three Valleys and Mont Blanc. Originally a home to shepherds, it’s now run by young, local former ski instructors. Implementing regional specialties, quality products, fish, and Asian fusions, this is a fantastic lunch spot for your ski holiday in Courchevel 1850.

Christmas and New Year in the mountains is a truly magical, unique experience, and Courchevel is no exception. Courchevel’s festive season is incredibly popular, and is one of the top reasons people choose Courchevel over anywhere else. Christmas in Courchevel promises parades, dance spectacles, extravagant decoration, visits from Santa and of course, high-end Christmas shopping sprees. A week later, you can delight in New Year celebrations with friends and family, watching the resort’s remarkable firework display. It promises to ‘wow’ year on year. 2023 was the year that saw Courchevel host the Alpine World Ski Championships – one of the most important events in the world of skiing. During this time, Courchevel showcased 12 days of competition, across 6 disciplines, and attracted over 20,000 athletes and spectators from all over the world each day. The resort was even more vibrant and livelier than usual, with keen skiers, and après skiers, flocking to the resort!
